Tamara Renée is a musician, artist, producer, and songwriter born and raised in Striver’s Row Harlem. Tamara takes on various manifestations of herself—avatars—that are portrayed through her music and ritual practices. Tamara has composed + produced two EP’s The Moon Goddess and Ultra Violet. Tamara opened up for Kamasi Washington in September of 2015 in Minneapolis on his tour for his debut LP, The Epic. In September of 2016 Tamara Renée was commissioned by the Whitney Museum of American Art to perform her first performance art piece entitled, shake the stars with your song. Tamara released her first full length LP entitled, CONJUR WOMAN, in the spring of 2017. Tamara currently lives in Barcelona, Spain where she is studying at the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona for their Independent Studies Program for a year.
